Thank you ABC Newcastle for highlighting the amazing stories of these inspiring young women.
1233 ABC NEWCASTLE ROBERT VIRTUE
The Village project offers young women, who may have disengaged with their education, learning opportunities for creating and reaching goals. Young women can gain a fully funded Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways.
The Village is more than a Certificate II though. It is a place for young women to empower each other, learn from each other and realise their potential. It is a mums group, a support network, a space for education and growth.
It is open to all young women and young mums who need social connection and who have a desire to continue their education. The Village specialises in support for young women who may be struggling with mental health, being a young mum or who simply haven’t had the encouragement they need to take a new step in their life.
Change is scary, beginning something new is scary. Your dream for the future is more important than your fear of it. We will support you.
Your needs and our support... The Village
